A family trip to Goa.

Goa, yes. Beautiful beaches, exclusive night life, History to its best. The former Portuguese colony, is deemed as the party destination of India. Here, this blog takes you through Goa.  This trip  is more special to me for it is for the first time in six years that I flew in a plane. So fasten your seatbelts and enjoy the journey.

Day 1

We started our journey early in the morning to Airport to Board our flight to Goa, which was an IndiGo at morning. For the first time, we entered Terminal 1 of Kempagowda International airport through the digiyatra facility and even though, the check-in was bit crowded, we managed and followed by security and we boarded an Airbus A320neo operated by Indigo. The flight was uneventful and we landed at the brand new Manohar International Airport, Goa, followed by which we went to our Hotel, Club Mahindra Resort, in Assanora, NorthGoa.

After freshening up, we went to explored South Goa where we started off with by visiting the famous Bom Jesus Basilica where the remains of St. Francis Xavier was interred. After spending time there, we went to the Panjim beach followed by the viewpoint in Panjim and a tea. After tea, we went to the church of the Immaculate Conception, but the church was closed due to renovations. W sent our evening in a cruise ride which ended in a dance followed by dinner outside. The first day reminded me of the Goa trip which happened 7 months back where I went as part of the college trip.

Day 2

North Goa is famous for its beaches and the forts. So, as our first stop, we went to Agoda fort and the beach associated with the fort. From there, we went to Baga Beach, where we had our Lunch and had a good view of the sea. Sadly, when enquired about adventure activities, it was informed that the adventure activities happen only during the season. Later that day, we went to Candolim Beach and aguada Beach where I ended up collecting pebbles.  Again, the day ended by reaching the resort at night.

Day 3

It was the final day of the trip where we only went to the Mapusa market at noon, which is famous for the bacon sausages and cakes. The morning was spent in the resort where I spend my time with my cousin in various swimming pools and playing games in the clubhouse which included air hockey , badminton and table tennis and in evening  we attended a program for the guests in the resort. But, the funniest part of the day was that I unexpectedly caught cold where I bought the medicine from the Mapusa Market which worsened over the next day. The night ended with supper in the room and we packed our bags to go to Airport Early in the morning.

Final Day

As we all know that all good things must come to an end, which is to be kept as a memory for the rest of our lives. We woke up early in the morning and  we packed our bags to the airport . Halfway to the airport, the receptionist called my aunt to tell that we forgot to take one bag which happened to be mine and after which, we went back t the resort, picked our bags and went to the Manohar International Airport where we boarded an IndiGo Aircraft, An A320neo back to Bangalore , where I sat with my cousin and played Ludo King. My trip ended in a funny note where I went to the University right from the Airport and had to race against time in order to get to the class so as not to be marked absent in while having cold. Luckily, contacting my teachers helped me get in the class and I finally went home after the class.

My tips for a smoother travel:

·        The best time to travel is in the months of October – May as the weather is quite pleasant and you will have access to adventure activities.

·        Make sure to plan your trip well in advance so as to avoid issues.

·        Since there are two airports in Goa, Please ensure which Airport the flight is heading so as to avoid confusions.

·        Enjoy Goa to the fullest.
